Here you see works in my self-developed style using inks and acrylics. The genesis of this technique was in work I saw many years ago where there was thin, bright runs of colour on the canvas. It looked like ink to me, so I rushed off and purchased every kind of ink I could find. Many months of mess and experimentation later, I was starting to get a handle on this willful mistress. Ten years later, the possibilities continue to evolve as I add more layers and different ways of manipulating colour into my repertoire. These works have moved away from my ink beginnings, where I created the textured surface with glues and fabrics. These days, it's more about underdrawings and texture paste... but that story continues!
